I’m Mike, a former Sales & Business Development Executive that contributed to the success of seven Silicon Valley Start-ups and went on to become a consultant for dozens more. I was traveling throughout Latin America when the pandemic hit and settled in Medellin, Colombia.
I decided to get my 120-hour TESOL certification and joined Open English as an English language instructor, where I taught hundreds of students over a two-year period. While most of the students were learning English to prepare for business, even the most advanced were not prepared to conduct business in English Speaking countries. So, I would find myself breaking from the curriculum to help them prepare for meetings, interviews, presentations and the like.
